Elephant and Castle Town Centre

Drawing on architectural forms and materiality to support urban regeneration

A dynamic wayfinding and signage system bringing clarity and coherence to a major new urban development

The redevelopment of the Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre requires wayfinding to unite multiple components within a uniquely hybrid scheme. The overhaul of this iconic London town centre will see the creation of an open-air pedestrianised area that combines education, retail, restaurants, bars, leisure, residential and workspace. Holmes Wood are developing wayfinding and signage to help visitors, workers, students and locals navigate the new development. Our work will provide clarity and coherence to maximise people’s experience of this bustling and diverse urban landscape.
