Regent’s Place, Euston Road

Co-creating urban artwork to bring vibrancy and colour to the built environment

A dynamic placemaking solution to enhance the public realm.

Against a backdrop of major construction work, British Land wanted to enhance existing buildings in their Regents Place site. Holmes Wood worked with artist Michael Craig Martin to create a large-scale mural that would provide distraction and relief for local tenants while the building work progressed. The result of this collaboration was the bespoke ‘Fan’ mural, which fills the end elevation of an office building and is illuminated at night. The artwork brings unexpected vibrancy to this 1970s development, enhancing the public realm and making tenants and local residents feel loved. A lasting legacy of colour in the urban landscape.
